MY STORY
I'm a first-year pre-vet student at the University of Alberta.

Alongside my studies, I work as a Veterinarian Assistant and even completed a college-level course while still in high school. I am a volunteer with Community Cats Edmonton and am part of the Fundraising for Animals club on campus. I’ve always been passionate about animals, I have two of my own: a sweet family dog named Beau and a cat named after my favourite singer, Stevie Nicks!

Fun Fact: I love sports! and did track and field, volleyball, gymnastics and field hockey. I coach young kids track and field, and love to spend my summers coaching and doing sports alongside working in clinic. I also used to sew, I took classes and was in many fashion shows, if you look at specific magazines in Japan, you could very well see me and my creations! ;)
My name is Keanna Boucher

For two weeks, I’ll be working with local veterinarians to provide free care and education to low-income families and stray animals. This experience will not only give me hands-on insight into veterinary care in another country but also allow me to give back to communities in need.

To raise money for the trip, I am connecting back to my sewing roots, and whipping out my old machine to hand-make pet bandanas. With a cat and dog, I have a plethora of different bandana's, ranging from triangular pieces of cut fabric, to thick, lined and sewn ones. Starting this, I wanted double-lined, and even reversible two-in-one bandana's that could last a long time.

In between university assignments and classes, I have dedicated my time to sewing to raise the funds for my upcoming trip abroad.

I try to make different designs with each fabric, so the chance of a duplicate is very low. That also means that it comes in certain sizes, depending on how many I can make with the fabric provided.

I plan to make sports ones, Christmas ones and hopefully some with lace trims or bows.

Each weekend I make about 15-20 bandana's, so I will hopefully be updating the website weekly!

Every purchase helps me get one step closer to making a real difference, for both animals and people.

Thank you so much for your support!
This spring, I’ve been selected for an exciting opportunity to intern in Peru with the Volunteers Around the World organization.
Each bandana is personally made by me (in my grandparents basement and in my dorm room) on weekends; hand ironing, sewing and designing. FUN FACT: My Grandma helps iron while watching Hallmark movies!
